The S&P 500 Index /quotes/comstock/21z!i1:in\x (SPX 1,046, +2.26, +0.22%) gained 3.17 points to 1,047.31, while the Nasdaq Composite /quotes/comstock/10y!i:comp (COMP 2,084, +0.11, +0.01%) rose 2.97 points to 2,086.69.
